I took the plunge. I bought an LADC58F Conversion Lens Adapter from Canon at the 3rd level of Glorietta. The problem with the adapter is that it obscures your viewfinder. It becomes impractical to compose photos using the viewfinder. I still use the viewfinder though and just approximate the crop of the image being taken. Aside from the viewfinder, It'll also obscure your flash. See the CPL shot below. There's a black (unlit) area on the bottom right corner (shadow of the lens adapter).

The Item. Made in China. Made of plastic and feels a bit loose when connected to the camera. I wanted to buy the one that is manufactured by Lensmate which is made of metal. But shipment cost will pump up the price so I settled for the OEM.

 

Sunpak Circular Polarizer

 

I didn't buy the adapter for the telecon lens. I bought it to attach filters. Top of my list is a circular polarizer. All I can afford is a cheap uncoated circular polarizer from sunpak.

Another reason for the attachment is to make the system look like a pro cam and not just a regular point and shooter.
