This has got to be the worst christmas season ever.

10 years ago, the kids can memorize the christmas songs as they are being played repeatedly over the radio. There was even a time, christmas songs are being played starting september. In 2005, there was very minimal christmas songs being played over the radio. The kids can't even tell the title of the christmas songs nowadays.

10 years ago, christmas carolers and caroling is cool. The kids make makeshift tamborines out of bottle caps. Flattening it out and stringed together using a GI wire. Kids make makeshift drums using big cans and putting on a plastic bag as skin and tying it with rubberbands. They normally sing in groups and collect the money and items in a common pot to be divided equally later.

Now, carolers work alone. Very few actually sing and even fewer use the "traditional" instruments cited above. Caroling now, comes in the form of an envelope, a knock on your door or window with a simple phrase, "Namamasko po!" (If it's not christmas season, it is "pangkain lang po".)

Traffic situation is still as bad. The traffic engineers (if there was even one) and traffic enforcers, hasn't learned a thing from the past years. If only they use some common sense, traffic flow will definitely improve by at least a hundred percent.

FLU. I was struck by flu, thankfully it's not the bird variety. On Chrismtas eve, while everyone is having fun and getting drunk like there's no tomorrow, I am at sick bay hoping to feel better in the morning. The symptoms persisted 'til the turn of the year. So just 15 minutes past midnight, after watching the fireworks, it's bedtime already for me.
