Remove the side strip entirely and clean the surface with 3M Adhesive and Wax Remover Part # 03618 Php 192.75 @ Ace Hardware I sprayed 6" sections at a time, then clean them

 

Car side is now clean.

 

Since the rubber is not so sensitive, I used laqcuer thinner to remove old adhesive from it. After it was cleaned and scraped, I sprayed it with the 3M adhesive remover to thoroughly remove remaining adhesives.

 

Clean the rubber and the car surface with alcohol

 

Stick the 3M double sided tape to the rubber strip Use the heavy duty version of the double sided tape Php 249.00 / 1.5 M length @ Ace Hardware

 

Make practice rounds on how you will stick the rubber strip to the car. Then peel off the tape cover

 

Starting with one end, press and stick the rubber strip against the side of the door.

 

Move towards the other end

 

And finish off on the other end
