Kimi Raikkonen has won the F1 Japanese GP. He started out from 17th on the grid after being caught out in the suzuka rain during qualifying. He made his way up the grid. Have had a hard time passing Michael Schumacher. Both of the pits at the same time with Michael still in front. But after the pit stops, that's when Kimi made his move. He went all the way up to second with only a few laps remaining. And on the last lap, he made his move to overtake Giancarlo Fisichella. Fisi wasn't able to defend himself and has to settle for second place.

World Driver champion Fernando Alonso has also had a good race. Starting from way back, he also fought his way to the front. Problem with the FIA decision on the move on Klein kept him from storming to the front early. Did a great overtaking move Michael Schumacher twice. He also did a great overtaking move against Mark Webber taking away a podium position from the Williams guy.

Juan Pablo Montoya barely made a couple of laps as he have wiped out the rear end of his car when he went off a corner with a very heavily fueled car.

It was an exciting start for Jenson Button for BAR-Honda. His engine started smoking on the grid while waiting for the lights to go out. A couple more seconds and we'll surely see a fiery BAR car.

Christian Albers Minardi car meanwhile caught fire on one of his pits stops prompting him to abandon his car. When the fire was put off, the mechanic was looking for him to continue driving. But the engine started to smoke as well due to staying stand still for extended period of time.

McLaren: Kimi = 10 pts, JPM = 0 pts.
Renault: Fisi = 8 pts, Alonso = 6 pts. 14 pts total
Renault are now 2 points ahead of McLaren in the constructor's championship. It will be an all out battle in China in a weeks time.
