Renault continues its winning streak
Fernando Alonso has continued Renault's winning streak. Finishing the Bahrain GP with a
wide margin over Toyota's Jarno Trulli. Unfortunately, team mate Giancarlo Fisichella
retired early in the race.
Toyota continues to surprise in F1
Jarno Trulli is doing a great job right now at toyota. Another second place finish.
Now, it's time to see if Toyota is a winning car.
Jarno should now try to keep up with and overtake Alonso's Renault.
Ralf Schumacher did a good job as well and finished 4th.
BAR continues its woes
Takuma Sato has retired with brake problems and Jenson Button,
after a strong race, retired while taking his second pit stop.
McLaren
At last, they were able to show the potential of the new McLaren.
Kimi Raikonnen finished 3rd.
Pedro Dela Rosa, after a poor performance in the Jaguar in 2002, showed a very strong race
in a Mclaren. Yup, the boy can race! He overtook the old timers like Barichello and Webber.
Mark Webber
After 3 races in a strong car, still has failed to impress. He only managed 6th
losing 5th place in the last few laps. His best finish
is still 5th. Only equalling his Minardi point scoring position back in Australia 2002.
Nick Heidfeld has already got a podium.
Sauber
Great job for Massa. Even overtaking the Ferrari of Barichello into 7th place.
As for JV, I think it's time for him to hang up his helmet. He's got 3 races last season,
started testing soon with Sauber. And still not able to push the Sauber to its limits.
That's a bad sign. Pedro Dela Rosa hasn't raced since mid 2002 but showed strong
performances today.
Coulthard
David Coulthard has pipped Barichello to the line to finish 8th and final point scoring
position. That 1 point was supposed to be Ferrari's consolation
prize for bringing the F2005 out sooner. Ha ha ha for Ferrari.
PLUG Mailing List OT
PLUG is a mailing list for Linux users in the Philippines. As any other mailing lists, there are OT posts that
gets posted. The evil thing is ... you get 1 OT post and you get a dozen replies saying sort of
"Hey stupid, that's OT. Post on the PLUG-misc or PLUG-jobs list." It's getting irritating. Why don't these
list cops email the person privately or simply ignore the post. If they're concerned about list traffic, they're
not helping ... they're making it worse. What they can do is to regularly email a set of rules and list netiquette.
Golf
I played golf with one of the PLUGgers, Carlos, on a tournament. I've had a really bad game, I almost quit after 9 holes.
The consolation is that, I hit a ball nearest to the pin for a special award. And at the back 9, I thought
I almost hit a hole in one. My PLUGger flight mate was so good, he outdrives the rest of us when he tees-off
from the gold tee while the rest of us from the white.
We played at Ayala Greenfield in Laguna. The caddies are not that good. I'm a newbie
walking around with a newbie caddie.
