Sete is a big disappointment!

Sete Gibernau is nowhere near Valentino Rossi at the MotoGP of Malaysia. He's a big disappointment to the Honda fans. He's the hope of Honda to keep the rider's championship trophy this year. But what has happened? He never challenged Rossi this weekend. It was Max who was attacking while Sete is falling back the order.

Sete's had a good start to the season, faltered on the second half, came back with a win at Qatar (where Rossi fell), and now, he's back to where he is, falling down the order. I was hoping Vale will take a break from winning consecutive rider's championship and that Sete be the one to take it away from him. I'm now writing off this season with 2 races left. Valentino deserves it. Probably it will take time for Sete to learn how to win a rider's championship. Meanwhile, I'd like to see Max get a factory ride at Honda next season and I hope he succeed in finishing off a good start of a season. If Max and Sete still fails next year, I hope Danny Pedrosa moves up to MotoGP class and show the old farts how to win.

Formula 1

Takuma has failed too in getting a podium finish in his home crowd. He's had some problem with his HANS device towards the end of the race. But that shouldn't be an excuse in getting a podium result on a circuit he's very good at. It was still a good race for him though. Unlike Jacques who drives like he's getting too old for racing. He's miles away from team mate Fernando Alonso. That poor drive resulted in BAR clinching second place in the constructor's championship. I wonder what he can do with a lesser equipment next year in a Sauber.

There's only 1 race left, at Brazil. I hope Jarno do a good job at Toyota and overhaul the Jaguar and overtake them in the constructor's championship.

2 MotoGP races and 1 F1 race. More action but no more drama. I can sleep early now until the start of the next season.
