Interesting Chinese Formula 1 GP

This weekend's formula 1 will be interesting. They are racing on a brand new circuit in China. So no one is really familiar with the circuit and will be a challenge to the drivers and race engineers.

Second reason is that Jacques Villenueve will be racing for Renault. A lot of people love the see the 1997 world champ race again, so this is it. To make it even more interesting, Renault and BAR Honda are evenly matched in performance this year; They are both challenging to win second place in the constructor's champoinship; and JV wants revenge on BAR for not renewing his contract.

PART II - Conclusion of Chinese GP [26 sep]

BAR succeeds, Jacques Fails.

BAR succeeded in extending their lead in the constructor's championship against Renault. Jenson Button has finished second place from 3rd on the grid, while Takuma Sato worked his way up to an impressive 6th after starting from 19 on the grid.

While Fernando Alonso did a good job in finishing 4th, Jacques Villenueve failed to capitalize on the fast starting ability of the Renault and finished way outside of the points in 11th. A dissapointing comeback for the world champion. Unfortunately for Renault, the next race will be on Japan; Honda's home circuit. Taku san also always does well in this circuit. I bet he'd be aiming for another podium, or even a win in 2 week's time.
